There is a great review of the new Friedlander exhibition at Whitney Museum of American Art on NPR.
Friedlander being 76 has been traveling the country over the last few years photographing from his car. He uses the window of the car to frame the outside world. I think this is a pretty interesting way oh visualizing the way American's view the world everyday as they zip to and fro. The landscapes are full of a wide range of things. There are 6 examples of the work in the blog, I'm interested to see more. This project make me yearn even more for my road trip out west, a road trip with no destination just to continue driving. I hope to some day be able to afford this adventure.
